Major Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets struck energy facilities, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The strikes follow evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
