Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player claimed his first trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in specific - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents the player's initial trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface from that period of that year.
Victory also indicates he has won 21 victories at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
His counter-punching play style and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to doubt if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and compete aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, taking four of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his initial ATP Tour title, gained dominance to push for a final set.
He saved 4 initial chances in a close deciding set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner earned victory with a point at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
