Making the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed items inside a pan, bring to a simmer, stirring so the sugar melts. After that, remove from the burner allowing it to cool completely. Transfer into a clean bottle, seal keeping it chilled, where it will keep for around a month.
For the Cocktail Base: Mix all the liquid ingredients in a big jug, leave to sit for one hour, then filter it , ideally through cheesecloth, making it completely strained.
For serving: Pour 85ml from the cocktail base into your cocktail shaker containing ice, and stir carefully for one minute to cool it down. Strain into an chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, top with the cranberries and finish by giving it a quick spritz of the essential oil over the top.
